Party makes change in House leadership role.
With current polls revealing voters’ continued support of former President Trump, his party has concluded that members of Congress who support his policies will be important in the 2022 mid-term elections. The party removed Representative Liz Cheney from her leadership position early last week for being out of step with current trends. On Friday, Representative Elise Stefanik was chosen as her replacement through a secret ballot.
“This will not be an easy job, but I know we are stronger when united as a team,” said Representative Stefanik in her acceptance speech. She went on to say that President Trump is an important voice in the party “and we look forward to working with him.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the heads of the political parties as they sort out their respective leadership and policies.
- That the members of Congress put the American people first in their efforts.
- For wisdom for the leaders in the House of Representatives.
